Quick Website Design

Small business website.Your planning guide.

Planning a small-business website? Use this guide to choose your pages, gather your content and compare what a website quote includes. It covers costs, monthly plans, optional features and the questions to ask before you commit.

What affects website costs?

The number of pages, content readiness, booking or shop features and ongoing changes all affect the scope. Compare what a quote covers, not just its starting price. Ask about hosting, domain management, maintenance, third-party fees and any work outside the plan.

Compare our pay-monthly website packages for current prices including VAT and development allowances.

Monthly plan or one-off build?

A monthly service spreads the design cost and combines it with ongoing care. A one-off build has a different payment structure, with hosting and maintenance often agreed separately. Compare the total cost over the time you expect to use the site, the included updates and what happens if you leave.

The pages most small businesses need

Home
Explain what you do, who you help and the area you serve. Give visitors a clear next step, such as asking for a quote or contacting you.
Services
Describe each service, who it suits and what is included. Add prices or explain how quotes work where appropriate; avoid pages that only repeat the service name.
About
Introduce the people behind the business and relevant experience. Use genuine background and credentials, rather than unsupported claims.
Contact
Publish accurate phone and email details, your service area and confirmed opening hours where relevant. Ask only for information needed to respond.
Proof of work
Use real project photos, examples and genuine reviews you have permission to publish. If these are not available, focus on clear service information rather than invented proof.

Small-business website FAQs

How much does a small-business website cost here?

Our monthly website plans start at £29.99 including VAT. Design, hosting, maintenance and support are included within the agreed package, with no separate standard setup fee. The right plan depends on your pages, features and ongoing changes; we confirm a quote before you pay.

What is a pay-monthly website?

You pay a monthly subscription for the website design and its ongoing care, rather than a separate standard upfront build fee. This service includes hosting, maintenance and agreed updates. It is a continuing paid service, not a free website or a one-off purchase.

Are pay-monthly websites worth it for a small business?

They can suit businesses that want to spread the initial design cost and have someone manage hosting and updates. Compare the total subscription cost, the included work and the cancellation and ownership terms against a one-off build. A monthly service is not automatically the cheapest option for every business.

Is the website actually free?

No. The website is designed and run as part of a paid monthly subscription. What you avoid is a separate standard setup fee. The initial consultation is free.

Who will build my website?

RapidWebsite delivers the service. Quick Website Design is a Rapid Websites brand operated by SmartTechHub Limited. Send your enquiry on this site; the RapidWebsite team handles your consultation, quote, payment, account and ongoing service.

Do I see a design before I pay?

The process is enquiry, consultation, an agreed quote, payment of the first month, then onboarding and the first draft. A free draft before payment is not offered.

How long does it take?

The first draft is estimated at 3–5 working days after your intake is complete and the brand assets and content we need have been supplied. Review, revisions and your approval follow before launch, so this is not a guaranteed time to a live website.

Can I cancel?

The service is a monthly rolling subscription. Cancellation and refund conditions are set out in RapidWebsite's terms and refund policy — please read those before you sign up.

Are hosting, maintenance and updates included?

Hosting, security, maintenance and minor content updates are included in the monthly plans. Essential does not include new development. Business and Growth include a monthly development allowance, which does not roll over. Larger changes or extra features must be agreed separately.

Can you redesign my website and keep my existing domain?

Tell us about your existing website, domain and email during the consultation. We will discuss what can be reused and what a change would involve before agreeing the work. Domain transfer, hosting and code ownership follow RapidWebsite's service terms; do not cancel your existing services before a transition is agreed.

What do I need to provide for my website?

Start with your business name, services, contact details and the area you serve. Your logo, permitted photos and page content help us prepare the design. If something is missing, tell us during the consultation so we can agree what is needed before the first draft begins.

Can my website include online booking or a shop?

Discuss these requirements before accepting a quote. Booking tools, online payments, products, stock and delivery can add scope or third-party costs; they are not assumed to be included in every plan. We agree the required features and any extra work with you first.

Who owns the website if I cancel?

Domain transfer, hosting and code ownership are governed by RapidWebsite's service terms and your agreed quote. Do not assume the subscription includes a transferable copy of the website. Ask the team to explain what happens to your website and domain when the service ends before you subscribe.

Will this get me to the top of Google?

No search position is guaranteed. Descriptive pages, useful answers and clear business details give search engines and visitors better information. Rankings also depend on competition, reputation and other factors. Ongoing SEO campaigns are not assumed to be included in the website subscription.
